I'm in a taxi on my way from a little airport, headed to the Shekou district of Shenzhen, China, which is just a ferry ride away from Hong Kong, geographically speaking, for those of you who are concerned.
The air is sticky and heavy. Apparently sleep-inducing. For a while, the taxi driver was struggling to keep his eyelids from dropping. So I offered him a Lara Bar, simultaneously tracking our route on my gps. Thank God for smart phones and data plans.
More to report later... If I survive this jaunt in the taxi of impending sleep...
